Авиазавод ПАО «Яковлев» для выпуска МС-21 получил более 85 млрд рублей

Investments are aimed at expanding capacity — more than 15,000 new jobs will be created

To mass-produce the medium-range airliners MC-21, which will begin in 2025, it was necessary to increase the capacity of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant of Yakovlev PJSC. Investments in this area have already exceeded 85 billion rubles.

As noted by Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Irkutsk Region, at the plenary session "Days of Regional Development \"Space of the Future\": Angara-Yenisei Macroregion" at the international exhibition-forum "Russia", work on expanding capacity continues. The plant will create 15,500 new jobs.

The serial production of the MC-21 model, according to him, will use all Russian-made components, including the engine. The MC-21 cooperation includes one of the Russian manufacturers of aviation systems. At the same time, the aircraft's design uses a "record-breaking proportion of advanced composite materials in its class, created exclusively at Russian enterprises: more than 30%."

In 2025, the first nine import-substituted MC-21 aircraft should be assembled, tested and delivered to the customer.
