KamAZ's "daughter" company, Tutayev Motor Plant, has released the first copies of its new engine, which was developed specifically for manufacturers of equipment from DST-Ural.
The TMZ 8487.10-03 diesel engine with a capacity of 450 hp will serve as the "heart" for the new domestic D30 tracked bulldozers. The development of engines for the Chelyabinsk company took two years, and the first prototype engines were ready in a year.
The 53-ton road construction novelties were shown at several exhibitions, but they have not yet gone on sale: the main copy of the D30 is only being tested in the Tyumen region.
While the tests are ongoing, it is already known that "thanks to the powerful engine and optimal weight, the maximum performance of the tracked bulldozer is ensured in difficult operating conditions". A total of ten copies of the D30 will be produced this year, and ten engines for them have already been manufactured.
