Россия расконсервировала ещё один самолёт — это Ту-204-100В

The economy class aircraft is designed for 210 passengers

Russian airline Red Wings has received a replenishment to its fleet: a decommissioned Tu-204-100V aircraft.

The aircraft was handed over to the operator by the leasing company Ilyushin Finance Co. (IFC) after its upgrade and restoration of airworthiness. It was manufactured at the Aviastar-SP plant in 2008 and operated by Red Wings until mid-2018, after which it was mothballed.

To restore airworthiness, IFC specialists removed the aircraft from long-term storage and carried out a number of works:

  • assessment of the technical condition of the aircraft;
  • maintenance form and service bulletins;
  • overhaul of PS-90A engines;
  • replacement of faulty components and components with calendar restrictions;
  • renovation of the interior and the UAC corporate livery on the outside.

After the upgrade, the Tu-204-100V received a single-class layout. It is now a full-fledged economy class airliner for 210 passengers. With a full load, it can cover a distance of up to 3600 km, and its maximum flight range is more than 7000 km.

Previously, IFC had already restored, upgraded and prepared for operation two other Russian aircraft: the Il-96-400T cargo aircraft and the Tu-214 passenger aircraft.
