The new import-substituted MC-21-310 and Superjet aircraft still contain many components that Russia receives from abroad. This statement was made by Honored Pilot of the Russian Federation, Yuri Sytnik.
According to him, the country cannot yet offer anything to the international market, as it is facing a shortage of equipment itself.
The MC-21 or Sukhoi Superjet 100 are not yet perfected; they are not of Russian production. Many parts come from abroad, especially electronics. We ourselves need 80 years to fill our own market.
Sytnik noted that there are calls to revive the Ministry of Civil Aviation, which used to determine how many aircraft the state needed.
Yuri Zakharchenko, Executive Director of the trade union association "RKK-Nauka," noted that complete import substitution of foreign parts is impossible in the aviation industry.
Aviation expert Artyom Kirillov stated that Russia has completed the creation of a full production cycle for composites for the MC-21 aircraft – from raw materials to finished wing power elements.
