Geran drones learned to turn 90 degrees and confuse air defense

New versions of UAVs began to sharply change trajectory right in flight

New modifications of Russian Geran UAVs have gained the ability to sharply change their flight direction, which complicates their interception by air defense systems. This was reported by military expert Andrey Marochko.

According to him, Gerans can make a 90-degree turn and follow a new trajectory.

I want to recall footage when a "Geran" literally turned 90 degrees and went in the opposite direction. This was also a shock, as previously the munition had a predictable flight trajectory.
Andrey Marochko, military expert

Marochko added that modern versions of the Geran differ not only in their changeable trajectory. Their speed has approached that of cruise missiles, and their mass production and cost exceed the capabilities of anti-aircraft weapons, he concluded.

The total production potential of Geran-5 drones in Russia was estimated at approximately 5 thousand units per month. Foreign media reported that these drones were allegedly requested by Iran.
