Russia has decided to preemptively address a problem that prevented even the first Superjet from gaining a foothold in the foreign market. OAK is offering Indian partners not just the Il-114-300, but a complete package including after-sales service, said Vadim Badeha, head of the corporation.
According to him, the Russian side also expects production localization at Indian facilities.
We will most likely sign a firm contract with our partner here in India, who will be responsible for the production of these aircraft in India.
It should be noted that OAK is demonstrating a new approach against the backdrop of Superjet's foreign experience. At that time, a full-fledged after-sales service system could not be established in foreign markets.
