The T-90M tank with additional anti-drone protection withstood about 40 FPV drone hits and mine explosions. This was reported by "Voennaya Khronika".

The crew used the vehicle not only as a tank but also effectively as an armored mine sweeper and a decoy for drones. In total, the tank covered 12 km through a mined area, ensuring the advance of the assault group.

After dozens of attacks, the vehicle gradually sustained serious damage — the barrel was damaged in several places, then the tank lost its triplexes.

After completing the mission, the crew left the damaged vehicle. The return journey from the area took the tank crew a week.

The T-90M is awaiting mass equipping with the "Arena-M" active protection system against drones. The system has already been modernized: initially, it was equipped with 12 counter-projectiles, but now the total number will increase to 36. However, it is unknown how the APS will be combined with passive protection, including "mangals".
