VK has filed a lawsuit against three Apple entities with the Moscow Arbitration Court, TASS reported, citing the holding's press service. The lawsuit was registered on August 19. The defendants are the Russian legal entity OOO "Apple Rus," Apple Inc., and Apple Distribution International Limited.

VK stated that Apple unilaterally removed the holding's applications from the App Store without warning. The company demands the return of its services to the store, the restoration of the ability to receive push notifications, and compensation for non-compliance with the court's decision.

Earlier, "VKontakte," "VK Music," "VK Video," "Dzen," "Odnoklassniki," and other products disappeared from the App Store; later, some of them also disappeared from Google Play.

Apple explained the removal by compliance with sanction rules. VK insisted that the holding had never been under sanctions. The Ministry of Digital Development called the decision politically motivated, and the FAS issued a warning to Apple due to discrimination against Russian services. The court of first instance will begin considering the case on its merits.
