UZGA ordered South Korean Puma 800 machine amid "Baikal" problems

The equipment was delayed by 264 days, the court recovered 15.8 million rubles from the supplier

The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) faced a delay in the delivery of expensive equipment. The Arbitration Court of Sverdlovsk Oblast recovered 15.76 million rubles from the Moscow supplier OOO "SFT" for violating the terms of delivery of a CNC turning center.

UZGA and "SFT" signed the contract in June 2023. The Puma 800 XLY II machine, manufactured by South Korean DN Solutions, worth 1.71 million dollars, was supposed to be delivered by July 18, 2024.

However, the equipment was delivered to the plant only on July 21, 2025. The delay was 264 days.

The Ural plant is developing the LMS-901 "Baikal" aircraft, which was planned to be launched into serial production in 2026. But so far, these plans are not destined to come true — structural flaws were found in the An-2 biplane's replacement.

Another UZGA project is the regional "Ladoga", the development of which has also been delayed.
