The first production passenger aircraft MC-21-310 made its maiden flight. The airliner, built using production technologies and equipped with domestic systems, took off from the Irkutsk Aviation Plant airfield and spent 83 minutes in the air. During the tests, the crew checked the machine's controllability, stability at different modes, and the operation of onboard equipment.
The flight took place as part of factory tests of the first fully import-substituted production aircraft. The aircraft reached an altitude of 6000 meters and an indicated airspeed of 600 km/h. All mission objectives were completed, and the aircraft's systems operated normally.
Rostec reported that the successful flight confirmed the readiness of production processes for the serial production of the MC-21-310. Currently, the Irkutsk Aviation Plant is forming the first batch of 18 aircraft, and the enterprise is preparing to fulfill new orders.
The first production MC-21-310 is built in a completely Russian configuration: the aircraft received a domestic PD-14 engine, Russian control systems, avionics, power supply equipment, and other components. Previously, flight tests were conducted on experimental aircraft with a new composition of systems and units.
