Moscow's electric scooter rental service already has 4,000 devices, each of which is used an average of seven times a day. Velobike revealed who most often chooses this mode of transport and at what time most trips are made.

The typical user of the service is a man aged 18 to 40. Men account for 62% of the audience, and peak activity occurs from 12:00 to 18:00.

E-scooters are most often chosen for short trips and routes with transfers. They are combined with the metro, buses, and other public transport to cover the last leg of the journey more quickly.

In terms of demand, e-scooters significantly outperform regular bicycles. One device accounts for about seven trips a day, while a bicycle is rented an average of three times.

Since Velobike's launch in 2013, the system has grown almost 24-fold. At that time, Muscovites had access to 79 stations and 550 bicycles, and now the fleet includes 9,000 electric bicycles and 4,000 electric scooters.
