AZUR Air applied to Rosaviatsia for an expansion of its maintenance certificate for American Boeing 767 engines. This refers to General Electric CF6-80C2 and Pratt & Whitney PW4000-94 powerplants.
If approved, AZUR Air will be authorized to perform periodic engine maintenance, implement service modifications, remove and install units, and service their components.
As of 2026, AZUR Air's active fleet includes 6 Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. All of them were manufactured between 1991 and 1999.
In February 2026, the company's CEO, Evgeny Korolev, noted that AZUR Air wanted to purchase about 10 new Tu-214 and Tu-204 aircraft. They are being built at the Kazan Aircraft Plant, which has not yet reached a production rate of more than one aircraft per year.
