MS-21 worth 9 billion rubles to be sold to Aeroflot for 3.6 billion

Denis Manturov: the difference for OAK will be offset by a state subsidy

The cost of new MS-21-310 airliners is about 9 billion rubles, but Aeroflot airlines will receive the airliners at a cost of 3.6 billion rubles per unit. The mathematics of the deliveries was explained by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

According to him, the price issue for the MS-21-310 will remain at least until 2030, but as serial production increases, the cost will begin to decrease.

We plan to offset the difference for airlines through a state subsidy. We made this decision back in 2022, and we are moving towards it. The first shipments will begin when we calculate the price and, accordingly, provide compensation to OAK.
Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

Manturov explained that scaling up production will allow reaching a figure of about 7.4 billion rubles per aircraft. According to him, this price was recognized as fair by an independent audit.

Aeroflot CEO Sergey Alexandrovsky confirmed the agreement on MS-21-310 deliveries under a leasing scheme. The payment for using the airliner is still unknown.
