An antitrust investigation is unfolding in Moscow's fuel market. The Moscow office of the FAS has initiated a case against six independent gas station operators who simultaneously raised prices for gasoline and diesel.
The companies involved are "AIST", "Toplivny Sindikat", "Serpukhovnefteproductservice", "Vitaoil", "Elegant", and one individual entrepreneur. According to the FAS, their actions may have violated antitrust legislation.
The regulator found that market participants simultaneously increased fuel prices, which may indicate concerted actions.
Inspections are also underway in other regions
Similar signals are being recorded outside Moscow. In the Saratov region, the UFAS issued a warning to the company "Alkorr", owner of the "Toreko" gas station chain. Price changes for AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline were recorded there.
According to the agency, the company, along with two other operators, held a dominant position in the Engelsky district, which could lead to the imposition of unfavorable conditions for consumers.
The organizations were given until July 31 to rectify the violations.
In the Orenburg region, a possible collusion between three independent diesel fuel sellers has also been identified. A separate antitrust case has already been initiated regarding this fact.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak previously instructed the FAS to constantly monitor the situation with gasoline and diesel prices.
