The Beloyarsk NPP has stabilized the hydrological situation after an abnormal increase in precipitation, which led to a rise in the reservoir level. To prevent flooding, controlled water discharge at the hydraulic facility was increased to 35 m³/s, which allowed the system to be maintained within safe parameters.

According to the Ural Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, 248.6 mm of precipitation fell in June — significantly above the long-term average. This volume of rain caused an increase in inflow to the reservoir, leading the hydraulic facility to switch to an enhanced flow regulation mode.

The company noted that the current situation is comparable to the flood conditions of the late 1990s: the last time similar levels were recorded was in 1997, when water discharge reached 40 m³/s. Currently, the reservoir level is stabilized, and there is no growth dynamic.

Plant representatives emphasize that the hydrological situation is under constant control, and discharge parameters allow for safe management of water levels and elimination of risks for the lower reaches of the Pyshma River.

Mikhail Roslyakov, First Deputy Chief Engineer for Operations at Beloyarsk NPP, reported that there is currently no threat to downstream settlements, and the plant is prepared for a continued period of increased precipitation and a possible persistence of flood load.
