The Nizhny Novgorod aircraft plant "Sokol" has completed the modernization of production of components for the MC-21 and Il-114-300. New equipment already allows increasing the output of parts for Russian aircraft.
One of the key projects was the preparation of production for the MC-21 program. The enterprise received a modern cutting and processing center with a vacuum table, and for the Il-114-300, a new line of profiling machines was purchased, designed for manufacturing complex Z-shaped profiles.
In parallel, the plant completely updated the press equipment section. Here, lighting was replaced, production areas were renovated, new crank presses were installed, and the PGR-7M profile bending machine was modernized.
Instead of the outdated control system, it received a modern programmable controller, thanks to which the process of manufacturing parts became fully automated.
