Russian analogue of air filters for American Cummins engines developed at KMZ

Air purification system elements will be used at Gazprom facilities in Krasnodar

Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) has developed a Russian analogue of air filters for American Cummins engines, which are used for power supply at compressor stations. A batch of elements for the purification system was supplied to one of PAO "Gazprom" enterprises. This was reported by the plant's press service.

The air filters will be operated at the facilities of OOO "Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar", which is responsible for the transportation of natural gas and gas condensate through main gas pipelines in the Southern Federal District (SFD). The company also provides export supplies of Russian hydrocarbons.

Air filters produced by KMZ are designed taking into account the stringent requirements for the reliability of gas transportation system equipment.

Thanks to its design, the filter captures dust, smoke, and other contaminants in the airflow that then enters the engine. It prevents premature wear of the unit and reduces fuel consumption.

KMZ manufactures filters from high-quality materials for operation in complex technological conditions. Russian equipment is gradually replacing imported equipment at compressor stations, ensuring their operation without accidents and downtime while waiting for component supplies.
