MC-21, Tu-214, and Il-114-300 to Receive Major Support for Up to Six Years at Start of Operation

The state will finance the "rollout" of new Russian aircraft to help airlines start using them faster

Russian airlines will receive state support for the operation of MC-21, Tu-214, and Il-114-300 aircraft for the first five to six years after their introduction into the fleet. The launch of the program was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, on the sidelines of the forum in Zhukovsky.

The government expects that temporary subsidies will help carriers more actively introduce new domestic aircraft into operation. The funds will be directed to support airworthiness, so that the level of service meets the requirements of the largest Russian airlines.

We will provide special subsidies for operation, subsidies for "rollout", which will maintain airworthiness.

According to government estimates, during this period, the manufacturer will be able to complete the refinement of the equipment and improve its operational characteristics. After that, the aircraft should reach a level that will allow them to abandon additional state support and compete with foreign counterparts without special measures.

The current initiative will be one of the tools to support the serial development of the MC-21, Tu-214, and Il-114-300, which are considered the basis for updating the Russian civil aircraft fleet.
