The onboard equipment of the modernized Yak-130M combat trainer aircraft has been updated by more than half. This was announced by Andrey Voropaev, Honored Test Pilot of Russia, commenting on the results of work on the new version of the aircraft.
According to him, the developers, even at the stage of creating the basic Yak-130, laid a significant reserve for further development into the design. Thanks to this, the modernization allowed for a significant update of the onboard systems without changing the concept of the aircraft itself.
From the very beginning, a huge potential was laid into the aircraft by the people who created the Yak-130. The aircraft has been updated in accordance with the times. One can say, by more than 50% in terms of equipment.
Earlier, the prototype Yak-130M performed its first test flight at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The tests confirmed the operability of the modernized systems, and Andrey Voropaev's words became the first assessment of the scale of the aircraft's onboard equipment update.
