Kazan Aviation Plant Built a New Workshop the Size of Three Football Fields

Tu-214 Parts Production Automated

Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ) launched a new workshop, the size of which is three football fields. Main parts for Tu-214 aircraft are produced here; the entire process has been automated.

The workshop houses the latest equipment: turning and milling machining centers. Advanced equipment guarantees high product quality.

Modern equipment in our facility allows us to make the most complex parts of various aircraft components – from brackets, wings, to tail units.

For comparison: if previously one operator worked on each machine, now two people per shift can service up to eight machines. Robotic gauges check each part for compliance with the standard and confirm its suitability.

Automation also affected the parts inspection area. All control and measurement processes are also tied to robots and automation.

Against the backdrop of large-scale re-equipment of KAZ production, the plant announced a mass recruitment of new workers.
