Novosibirsk airline S7 will invest almost 6 billion rubles in the development of aircraft component production at the Berd Electromechanical Plant (BEMZ). The money will be distributed among various areas for the repair of the company's current fleet.
3.6 billion rubles have already been allocated for organizing the production of aircraft fasteners and developing competencies for aircraft repair.
Another 2.23 billion rubles have been approved for 2026, which will be spent on mastering the repair of landing gear for foreign aircraft.
The airline's total fleet consists of about 100 aircraft, which are divided into three main manufacturers – Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer.
S7 also signed a memorandum for the supply of 100 Kazan-made Tu-214 airliners. Deliveries were planned to start in 2029, although "Tupolev" is currently building at a rate of one aircraft per year.
