The Kalashnikov Concern is ready to supply high-altitude reconnaissance drones SKAT 350M abroad. The drones will be showcased at the India Homeland Security Expo international arms exhibition in New Delhi from June 24 to 25.
The company has already named the device GARUDA specifically for the Indian market. During tests in the Himalayas, the SKAT 350M set a class record for operational altitude, ascending to 9500 m.
There is no official data yet on concluded contracts or deliveries of the SKAT 350M drone to India. However, the renaming indicates active promotion of the complex in the local market.
The wingspan of the SKAT-350M is 3.2 m, which allows it to perform tasks at various altitudes. For each operational flight, the SKAT-350M covers a distance of at least 240 km, staying in the air for up to 4 hours. Previously, the drones received a night camera for the first time.
The SKAT-350M acts as a target designator for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system.
