The newest Russian turboprop aircraft Il-114-300 has fully completed its certification flight program and is ready to receive an official type certificate. This was announced by Vadim Badeha, head of the United Aircraft Corporation, on the eve of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The head of OAK emphasized that the certificate is expected to be received in the very near future. The new aircraft is the result of joint work between Rostec enterprises and the "Il" company. It is a deep modernization of the famous classic Il-114.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported on the successful completion of an additional stage of tests by the aircraft in Arctic conditions.
Sergey Chemezov, head of the Rostec state corporation, also noted that by 2030, it is planned to produce 12 such aircraft in the country. The first three aircraft are intended for transfer to the Second Arkhangelsk Aviation Detachment.
