Deliveries of new Russian aircraft are being postponed again. According to GTLK documents, some equipment that was supposed to be delivered in 2024–2026 is now expected only in 2027–2029.
The delay is particularly noticeable for the SJ-100 — deliveries of eight aircraft may shift to 2027–2028. The light aircraft "Baikal" has been pushed back even further — it is now expected only in 2028–2029.
The SJ-100 and Baikal were considered key import substitution projects in civil aviation.
Funds for the purchase of equipment were allocated through the National Welfare Fund, and the program itself was intended to accelerate the renewal of the Russian aircraft fleet after sanctions.
