Kalashnikov Concern has developed a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drone called "Fortis," which can carry FPV drones. It will be showcased for the first time at the International Security Forum in the Moscow Region. This was announced by the concern's press service.
The UAVs included in the complexes can function as carriers for FPV drones and, after deployment, control them by relaying the signal from the ground control station.
The concern's engineers have developed 3 versions of the drone: "Fortis-30," "Fortis-50," and "Fortis-100." The junior version has a payload capacity of 5 kg, a cruising speed of up to 90 km/h, and a flight altitude of up to 2500 m.
The medium version of the drone can deliver cargo weighing up to 7 kg, reach speeds of up to 100 km/h, and fly at an altitude of 3000 m.
Characteristics of the "Fortis-100" drone:
- Communication support at a distance of up to 100 km
- Payload capacity – up to 18 kg
- Cruising speed – up to 110 km/h
- Flight time – up to 8 h
- Flight altitude – 3000 m
The "Fortis" complex includes 4 drones. For customers, the configuration can be supplemented with a simulator-trainer and stands for diagnosing drone systems.
