The Arbitration Court of Chelyabinsk Oblast has ordered the "ChTZ-Uraltrak" plant to pay 173 million rubles to Uralenergosbyt. The case concerned non-payment for electricity supplies.
Previously, 319 million rubles had already been recovered through a lawsuit. Although there are court decisions, no systematic steps to repay the debt have yet been observed from the plant.
The total debt of OOO "ChTZ-Uraltrak" to "Uralenergosbyt" reached 741 million rubles, of which 545 million accounts for unpaid electricity, and another 196 million for accrued penalties for systematic violation of payment terms.
As payment problems have been ongoing for more than a year, the company intends to consider other legal measures, including initiating bankruptcy proceedings for ChTZ.
"ChTZ-Uraltrak" is part of the Uralvagonzavod Concern of Rostec – the main producer of tanks in Russia, including the T-90M "Proryv", T-80BVM, and T-72B3M. The company is a leading Russian manufacturer of diesel engines for combat vehicles.
