The Alliance of Independent Operators "Aerokhimflot" will receive the first "Baikal" aircraft in 2027. This was announced by Mikhail Parnev, head of the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLC).
According to him, the LMS-901 will initially be used for aviation work – a common scenario for new regional aircraft models.
We expect it within the contract terms – next year.
It is known that "Aerokhimflot" has agreed to receive 50 "Baikal" aircraft. However, the largest customer remains "Aurora" airline with approximately one hundred LMS-901 aircraft.
Nevertheless, not all airlines are satisfied with the price of the "Baikals". The head of one of the carriers stated that it would be cheaper for him to acquire up to 20 restored An-2s.
