Kolomensky Zavod (part of TMH) commissioned a new CNC gear shaping machine in mechanical workshop No. 63. The equipment is designed for manufacturing bevel gears, which are used in gearboxes of diesel engines, power plants, and other heavy machinery.
The new machine allows processing gears with a module from 1 to 10 by shaping. Compared to previous equipment, it provides more precise positioning of the part and tool, and also improves the quality and stability of processing.
Bevel gears are considered one of the most complex parts of gearboxes, as they are responsible for transmitting rotation with a change of axis. At the plant, during their production, the contact pattern and radial clearance in the meshing are controlled. The new equipment will help to maintain these parameters more accurately and increase the efficiency of parts production.
The modernization of workshop No. 63 continues. As the equipment fleet is updated, the enterprise expects to strengthen its position in the market of components for heavy machine building.
