A new Project 22350 frigate, "Admiral Flota Gromov", has been laid down at the "Severnaya Verf" shipyard in St. Petersburg. The warship will become a carrier of "Zircon" hypersonic missiles.
Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Alexander Moiseev emphasized that Project 22350 has proven itself to be excellent due to its strike and search capabilities.
The Navy's need for ships of this class is extremely urgent; existing plans and programs for frigate construction will definitely be implemented.
Andrey Bogomolov, Deputy General Director of OSK, clarified that only domestic technologies and materials will be used in the construction of "Admiral Flota Gromov".
By the end of 2026, two more Project 22350 frigates will be laid down in Russia — "Admiral Kapitanets" and "Admiral Vysotsky".
