Russian aircraft manufacturers will begin delivering finished aircraft to carriers a couple of months after all permits are processed. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.
From the point of view of deliveries, given the readiness of serial aircraft, as soon as we receive all the permits, literally within a month or two, we will start delivering the machines to airlines.
However, full-fledged operation of the airliners will not begin immediately. The first flights are planned for short routes: this is necessary for a smooth introduction of the equipment into operation. In parallel, flight crews and ground services will be trained – without this, safe operation is impossible.
Alikhanov called the start of operation "a rather vague process": between the physical transfer of the aircraft and its regular commercial flights, time will pass for working out procedures, checking systems, and adapting personnel.
All preparations, according to the head of the department, are being carried out as planned, and serial samples are already in the final stage of certification.
The day before, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov stated that Russia has surpassed the whole world in the production of heavy helicopters, such as the Mi-26.
