The Moscow Arbitration Court sided with the Ministry of Defence in a high-profile lawsuit against JSC "KBP Instrument Design Bureau named after A.G. Shipunov". The defence agency won a claim for over 3 billion rubles.
The Ministry of Defence filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer of Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems on August 15, 2025. It was likely about collecting huge penalties from the Tula enterprise for the execution of state contracts.
KBP has not yet appealed the court's decision of April 27. The company also produces Krasnopol guided artillery shells, Hermes-A missile systems, and Berezok and Bakhcha-U fire control systems.
Shipunov Bureau is a frequent participant in high-profile legal disputes. In the autumn of 2025, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced the collection of 1.47 billion rubles from the designers, and with legal costs, the amount may even increase.
