Project 12700 "Alexandrit"

The project was developed by KB "Almaz" for the Russian Navy. The new generation minesweepers are designed to detect mines in water and in the seabed. At the same time, the ships operate remotely and do not enter the dangerous zone.

All minesweepers are built at SNSZ. 24 ships are planned in this series. Nevsky shipbuilders have already delivered 9 minesweepers to the fleet. In August 2025, the 15th ship – "Leonid Balyakin" – was laid down at the shipyard's slipway. The others are in various stages of readiness.
