Earlier, Kud-Sverchkov managed to capture from Earth orbit a rare combination of several space objects at once. One frame included comet C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS), the Andromeda Galaxy, and aurora over Antarctica.

Kud-Sverchkov has been aboard the ISS since September 2025 as part of the 72nd and 73rd long-duration expeditions. Working alongside him on the station are Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Mikayev and Andrey Fedyaev, as well as astronauts from NASA and the European Space Agency. During the mission, the Russian cosmonauts conduct scientific experiments, perform spacewalks, and carry out photo and video filming of Earth and atmospheric phenomena under the program "Space Without Secrets".
