StroyIstInvest LLC, registered in Grozny, has filed a claim against JSC Il for the recovery of debt in the amount of 70.4 million rubles. The dispute will be considered by the Arbitration Court of the Voronezh Region, the meeting will be held on May 28.
Ilyushin's debt relates to a contract for the reconstruction of a capital construction project on the territory of the Voronezh Aircraft Plant (VASO). The specific nature of the requirements is not disclosed.
According to the EIS Zakupki service, the parties concluded a contract in May 2025 for the amount of 660.5 million rubles. However, the agreement was then terminated.
The Voronezh Aircraft Plant is building wide-body Il-96-300 and Il-96-400M aircraft. However, in its current state, the enterprise is not able to mass-produce liners of this series due to outdated production technologies, explained "First Technical" aviation expert Roman Gusarov.
Another problem is that airlines themselves are not eager to buy the Il-96 line. The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Voronezh Region, Sergei Khlyzov, explained the situation by the desire of carriers to wait for the opportunity to purchase a Boeing.
