Rostselmash CEO Resigns Amid Difficulties, Replaced by Voenmekh Graduate

Alexander Vinogradov appointed to replace Valery Maltsev: he headed the trailed equipment division for more than 15 years

Valery Maltsev has left his post as CEO of Rostselmash. The shareholders accepted his resignation and thanked him for his many years of work. Maltsev himself stated that he is proud of his years of work at the enterprise and is confident in maintaining the plant's leading position.

Alexander Vinogradov has been appointed as the new CEO. He graduated from the Baltic State Technical University "Voenmekh" named after D.F. Ustinov in St. Petersburg in 2000, with a degree in engineering in the field of "Standardization and Certification". He has been working at Rostselmash since 2001, starting as the head of the standardization department, and since 2008 he has headed the Klever division, which deals with trailed and mounted equipment.

The change of leadership takes place against the background of serious problems at the plant. The company has been facing difficulties in selling its products for the third year. The situation deteriorated sharply in 2024, and in 2025 the company reduced its production program. Against this background, about two thousand employees were dismissed from the plant. The reasons for the crisis are presumably related to a general decline in demand for agricultural machinery, a high key rate, and a reduction in government support for the industry.
