Kalashnikov has developed a multi-bullet 5.45-mm special cartridge against drones

Ammunition successfully hits UAV batteries and engines

The Kalashnikov Concern has successfully tested its own developed 5.45-mm multi-bullet cartridges against drones. When the bullet segments hit, the drones' batteries, electronic boards and power elements of the structure were damaged.

The cartridges contain a multi-element projectile, which makes it possible to significantly increase the probability of hitting both with single fire and with bursts.

The elements of the unique cartridge are orderly separated when exiting the barrel bore, which increases the stability of external ballistic characteristics while maintaining the reliability of the weapon and the effectiveness of hitting UAVs.

At the same time, the 5.45-mm multi-bullet cartridge is identical to the standard automatic ammunition, which allows using even the standard AK-12 magazine for 30 cartridges.

Igor Potapov, a representative of JSC NPP, noted that during the tests, it was possible to achieve dispersion rates of up to 25 cm at a range of about 100 m. According to him, such characteristics indicate the effectiveness of ammunition.
