On April 2nd, a Tu-214 with tail number 64509, equipped with PS-90A engines, flew over the capital of Komi. The plane made several landing approaches, after which it took off again for another approach.
Then the airliner went to Khanty-Mansiysk for testing, after which it returned to its base in Kazan.
Later, on April 5th, a Tu-214, but with tail number RA-64536, performed a training flight over Syktyvkar. This aircraft is the first machine assembled at the Kazan Aviation Plant from domestic components. The first flight of this aircraft took place on December 16, 2025.
The aircraft received a VIP cabin and is operated in the interests of the company SOGAZ. It made two approaches, after which it went to Kazan.
The publication "Business Online" noted that KAZ is unlikely to build three Tu-214s by the end of 2026. Sources at the enterprise were more inclined towards one assembled aircraft by December.
