LMS-901 "Baikal" Manufacturer Faces Lawsuits for 700 Million Rubles

The plaintiff is the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has demanded more than 700 million rubles from the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA). The lawsuits were registered in the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region.

In one of the lawsuits filed in March, the plaintiff claimed 679 million rubles, and in the second, about 43 million rubles.

The first case is scheduled for consideration on June 2, and the second on May 4.

The plant's key projects are the new light aircraft LMS-901 "Baikal" and the TVRS-44 "Ladoga" turboprop regional aircraft. The certification dates for the aircraft are unknown.

For the military, the company is building heavy Forpost-R drones and Altius-RU long-range drones.

Rosaviatsiya even did not mention the LMS-901 in its plans, but the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, promised to complete work on the aircraft by the end of 2026.
