Bryansk Machine-Building Plant handed over the anniversary main freight locomotive 2TE25KM under number 800 to the customer. The machine has already left the territory of the enterprise and sent to the Sverdlovsk Railway, where it will be assigned to a permanent depot.
On the way, the locomotive is leading a coupling of new 3TE28 sections, which, after delivery, will be redirected to the Baikal-Amur Mainline. This solution allows you to effectively use the mileage of the anniversary machine and speed up the delivery of equipment to the eastern range.
Externally, the anniversary locomotive differs from the standard machines of the series. A proprietary geometric ornament is applied to the side walls - a design element that emphasizes the special status of the eight-hundredth copy. The presentation of the locomotive took place at the factory at the end of February and became a landmark event for the company's team.
The 2TE25KM series has been produced since 2015. For ten years, these locomotives have become one of the main ones in the fleet of freight vehicles of Russian Railways, and are also supplied to private operators and partners from the CIS countries. According to locomotive crews, the machine shows high reliability of the power plant and chassis, and the equipment layout simplifies maintenance in depot conditions.
