AL-41ST-25 Engine from Su-57 Opens New Market of 40 Million People

The most promising country for sales is Kazakhstan, where gas pipelines are being built on a large scale

The AL-41ST-25 gas turbine engine with a capacity of 25 MW for gas pumping units has been certified by the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and can enter a new market with a population of 40 million. The technical documentation of the engine fully complies with the regulatory requirements of the community.

This opens the way for its supply to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan — to a market with a total population of about 40 million people.

Currently, two prototypes are being tested at the KS "Arskaya" in Tatarstan. The first unit has already worked more than 2,400 hours in real conditions.

The AL-41ST-25 has the best efficiency in its class — 39.3%, and its modular design allows it to operate in the harshest climatic zones. The assigned resource of the unit is 120 thousand hours with the potential to grow to 150 thousand.

The main growth point may be Kazakhstan with a population of about 20 million people. The country is massively gasifying the northern regions and expanding transit capacity to China. The compactness of the AL-41ST-25 allows it to be quickly delivered and installed at remote facilities.

As a reminder, the AL-41ST-25 was developed on the basis of aviation technologies of the AL-41F1 engine family ("Product 117"), which are installed on Su-57 fighters.
