Yuri Abrosimov has been approved as the new Managing Director of PJSC "Tupolev", who was previously appointed acting head of the enterprise in January. This was reported by the Kazan publication "Business Online".
The contract with the manager is for three years. In this position, Abrosimov replaced Alexander Bobryshev, who managed "Tupolev" for 1 year and 1 month.
The publication emphasized that there are no logical explanations for Abrosimov's appointment. He has been working in the structure of PJSC since 2012.
Despite significant experience at the Kazan Aviation Plant and in the Kazan branch of the Tupolev Design Bureau, he was not involved in production and design issues - he is a pure financier.
"Tupolev" is the manufacturer of the Tu-160 "White Swan" strategic missile carriers, a key enterprise of the strategic aviation division of the UAC.
Its structure includes the Kazan Aviation Plant, which recently embarked on a revival of the serial production of Tu-214 airliners.
