Specialists of the Lyulka Design Bureau (part of UEC) managed to increase the lifespan of individual parts of aircraft engines by almost two times. This was announced by the leading designer of the enterprise, Georgy Gogaev.
We are talking about increasing the lifespan of individual elements of combat aircraft, he clarified.
Gogaev added that when developing an engine from scratch, a significant part of the time and costs falls on the gas generator.
However, this approach allows in the future to create a whole family of engines based on one solution.
We are reducing the number of unplanned overhauls, and their cost is about 30% of the cost of the engine, which is significant. Many zeros.
Let us remind you that the A. M. Lyulka Design Bureau is a key developer of the AL-41F family of engines for Su-57 and Su-35S fighters. The company is engaged in the entire range of works on their design, testing and improvement, and also records a trend towards reducing testing by mathematical calculations.
