A unique car has been put up for sale - the seven-door Moskvich AZLK 2901, created in the mid-1990s in a single copy. The car was prepared for the 135th anniversary of the penal system of Russia and received service colors, symbols of the Main Directorate of the Execution of Punishments, and the name "Black Dolphin" - in honor of the famous colony for life-sentenced prisoners in Sol-Iletsk.
The car was built on the basis of the AZLK 2141 station wagon, according to the Smirnov Design Bureau. It has elongated side members and overhangs, the rear suspension is a leaf spring from the 40th "Moskvich" instead of the standard coil spring, under the hood is the Ufa UZAM 3317 engine (1.7 l, 85 hp). Externally, the car is distinguished by mirrored tinted windows, a light and sound panel on the roof, fog lights and special paint.
At the request of the customer, there is a completely isolated armored compartment inside for transporting particularly dangerous prisoners, lodgements for service automatic weapons, a radio station and a signaling loudspeaker device. The cabin is separated from the driver's seat by a partition.
In total, the factory produced two bodies in a seven-door version. One of them was installed on the chassis and operated, the second remained in the warehouse. Over time, the first body rusted through, and it was replaced with the last existing one - it was this copy that fell into the hands of the restorers.
AZLK 2901 was not mass-produced. The presented copy is the only one preserved in this design.
