The well-known Chinese analytical portal Sohu analyzed the prospects of the Russian "Product 30" cruise missile for the Tu-160 "White Swan" strategic bomber. The reviewers are confident that the development will make the use of aviation weapons more flexible and less predictable.
According to their estimates, in the future, tactical aviation aircraft will be able to use the missile.
A wide fleet of such machines complicates the monitoring of departures and increases the variability of use. This makes it more difficult to determine the direction of a possible strike in advance.
In addition, the "Product 30" will become a simpler and more affordable alternative to the Kh-101, Sohu believes. The estimated flight range reaches 1500 km. At the same time, official data on the characteristics have not yet been disclosed.
It is known that "Product 30" received a wingspan of about 3 m and a warhead of about 800 g. The missile's navigation system includes the jamming-resistant satellite signal receiver Kometa-M12.
