Rostec has increased the volume of supplies of the combined vaccine against measles, rubella, and mumps by 30%. The pharmaceutical holding Natsimbio, part of the state corporation, will send more than 2.7 million doses of the drug to the regions as part of the National Immunization Schedule.
The multicomponent formulation makes it possible to develop immunity to three viral infections at once after a single injection. The solution simplifies the procedure for patients and eases the workload of medical personnel: fewer injections means less time spent on preparation and documentation.
The first batches have already been delivered to medical institutions. Shipments are running more than a month ahead of schedule. Further restocking will take place every two months, with final deliveries scheduled for December.
In addition to the combined drug, Natsimbio also supplies the regions with monodrugs, separate vaccines against measles, rubella, and mumps, as well as a two-component mumps-measles vaccine. The total volume of all shipments this year will exceed three million doses.
