Rostec's AORL-1AS surveillance radar installed at Naryan-Mar airport

Chelyabinsk Radio Plant "Polet" delivered the equipment ahead of schedule

A modernized AORL-1AS airport surveillance radar has appeared at the airport of the capital of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug — Naryan-Mar. The equipment can track aircraft at a distance of up to 400 km and provide communication with dispatchers in any weather. This was reported to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" in the press service of Rostec.

The radar was assembled at the Chelyabinsk Radio Plant "Polet" (part of the "Azimuth" company) and delivered to the customer ahead of schedule.

AORL-1AS is an airport surveillance radar designed for operation at airports with any flight intensity.

Features of AORL-1AS:

Similar radars have been installed at more than 30 civil airports, said Dmitry Breygin, acting general director of Polet. According to him, AORL-1AS accompanies aircraft at a greater distance than its counterparts.

"Azimuth" offers customers a line of air navigation equipment. These include radio beacons, flight control systems, voice communications, and instrument landing systems.
