The Northern Fleet's missile cruiser "Marshal Ustinov" has completed a series of exercises on air defense and combating drones in the Barents Sea. The maneuvers took place as part of a combat training course for single ships.
The crew repelled a simulated enemy air attack using an anti-aircraft missile system, performing real missile launches at targets. In addition, the sailors practiced destroying drones using rapid-firing artillery systems.
Additionally, the ship's team conducted firing at sea and coastal targets. The exercise areas were closed to ships and aircraft.
The fleet's press service noted that the training takes into account the specifics of modern naval combat.
