According to him, for the second week in Yakutia the aircraft has been undergoing a cold-weather test program, where the operation of onboard systems and readiness for service on regional routes are being checked.

This aircraft has been awaited for a long time, and now it is already possible to say with confidence that it has turned out well.

Brenerman noted that regional transportation remains critically important for the country, especially for the northern territories. He added that the aircraft confirmed its stated characteristics in real climatic conditions.

Research fellow at the Presidential Academy Dmitry Evdokimov said that the aircraft is ideally suited for a specific regional network, where there are routes with low passenger traffic.

The Il-114-300 is a modernized version of the baseline Il-114. The aircraft is being created to replace the aging An-24, as well as foreign regional airliners of a similar class, including the ATR 72 and Dash 8. The P. A. Voronin plant in Lukhovitsy will be able to assemble one Il-114-300 per month.
