The oldest machine-building plant in the Urals was declared bankrupt

The court brought the two-year case of the "Kyshtym Machine-Building Association" to an end

One of the oldest enterprises in the Chelyabinsk Region, the "Kyshtym Machine-Building Association" (KAMO), was officially declared bankrupt after nearly two years of court proceedings. At a hearing on February 10, the region's arbitration court introduced a supervision procedure in relation to the enterprise.

In the autumn of 2025, the court seized the enterprise's movable and immovable property as part of the insolvency case. At the same time, the court rejected the freezing of accounts and finished products, considering this an excessive punishment, since it could have led to a halt in production.

The procedure was initiated by PAO "MTS-Bank" from Moscow. During the consideration of the case, the court replaced the original creditor with its legal successor — OOO "Asto Konsalting".

The hearing on the results of the supervision procedure was scheduled for June 15. Based on its results, the court will decide on possible financial rehabilitation, external administration, or transition to bankruptcy proceedings.

KAMO is the only manufacturer in Russia of certain types of mining equipment and drilling tools.
