The main objective of the training is to practice actions in the event of a difficult tactical situation. This includes firing from cannon armament at ground targets and launching unguided aircraft missiles.

The press service added that the pilots also performed elements of combat maneuvering: they overcame the air defense engagement zones of a mock enemy and flew at extremely low altitudes, bypassing the terrain, for a covert exit to the line of attack.

Flight training was conducted in difficult meteorological conditions typical of the winter period in the Arctic.
